🔹 A HANDWOVEN FLATWEAVE THAT ANCHORS THE WHOLE ROOM
This is a genuine handwoven flatweave wool dhurrie — not a printed rug, not a machine copy, and not a heavy tufted piece. Each cross-motif square is built stitch by stitch on the loom, giving you a crisp, low-profile Southwestern rug with a clean reversible surface. If you've been comparing flimsy printed "kilim-look" rugs, this is the real, hand-loomed alternative that actually earns its place underfoot.

🔹 WHY BUYERS CHOOSE THIS RUG
- Durable flatweave build that handles daily foot traffic and holds its shape
- Low, flat profile — sits neatly under doors, chairs and furniture legs
- Reversible: two usable sides means longer life and easy rotation
- Natural wool: naturally resilient, warm underfoot, and beautifully matte in color
- Real handmade value vs. mass-produced machine rugs — character, not a print

🔹 MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Woven in the celebrated rug-making belt of Bhadohi–Mirzapur, India, by artisans working a three-generation weaving tradition. The flatweave (dhurrie) technique interlocks dyed wool weft through a cotton warp entirely by hand — a slow, skilled process where the pattern is literally built into the structure, not stamped on top. A single piece takes days of loom work, which is exactly why the geometry stays sharp and the rug wears in, not out.

🔹 USAGE & STYLING
Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, home offices, entryways, dining areas and layered over larger neutral rugs. Pairs beautifully with Southwestern, mid-century modern, Scandinavian, boho, farmhouse and earthy-minimal interiors. The rust-and-navy palette warms up light wood floors and complements terracotta, cream and walnut furniture.

🔹 GIFT-WORTHY
A meaningful housewarming, wedding, or new-home gift — handmade, one-of-a-kind, and built to last for years rather than seasons.

🔹 CARE & TRUST NOTES
- Wool may shed lightly at first — this is normal and settles with regular light vacuuming (no beater bar)
- Spot clean spills promptly with a damp cloth; professional clean when needed
- Rotate periodically for even wear; use a rug pad to reduce slipping
- Handmade means small, natural variations in weave, color and size — these are marks of authenticity, not flaws
Rug Care & Maintenance

Vacuum gently once or twice a week using a brush attachment — avoid rotary brush heads. Do not machine wash. For spills, blot immediately with a dry cloth; never rub. With simple care, your handmade wool rug will stay beautiful for decades.

Questions, Answered

Everything you want to know before you buy

Handmade rugs raise real questions — about wool, shedding, sizing and shipping. Here are ours, answered plainly.

Can I order a custom size or colour?
Are your rugs safe for pets and children?
Do I need a rug pad underneath it?
How should I clean and care for my rug?
Do wool rugs shed, and for how long?
Can I order a custom size or colour?

Yes. Almost everything we make can be woven to your dimensions and palette, including round, runner and oversized pieces. Custom orders take about 4-6 weeks. Send us your measurements and a colour reference to start.

Are your rugs safe for pets and children?

Yes. Our rugs are crafted using natural wool and non-toxic dyes without chemical-backed coatings. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and flame-resistant, making it a great choice for family homes. If a loop is accidentally pulled by a pet, simply trim it carefully with scissors rather than pulling it.

Do I need a rug pad underneath it?

We highly recommend using one. A quality rug pad helps prevent slipping, protects your flooring, adds extra comfort underfoot, and extends the lifespan of your rug by reducing wear from daily foot traffic. It's especially beneficial on hardwood, tile, and other smooth surfaces.

How should I clean and care for my rug?

Vacuum weekly on a low setting. Blot spills immediately with a dry cloth — press, don't rub. For anything that has set, use a professional rug cleaner. Avoid soaking the rug, bleach, and steam cleaning.

Do wool rugs shed, and for how long?

Yes, light shedding is normal during the first few weeks. These are loose fibers left from the finishing process and will gradually reduce with regular use. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting (without a rotating beater bar), and shedding typically settles within about a month. It is a natural characteristic of quality wool rugs.

No question matches that. Message us and we'll answer it directly.
