Description
Why Choose a Hand-Knotted Wool Rug?
Exceptional Durability: Hand-knotting is the most durable rug construction in the world. Each knot is tied individually, creating a dense, resilient pile that stands up to high-traffic areas.
Natural Materials: Crafted from 100% premium wool, which is naturally stain-resistant, flame-retardant, and eco-friendly.
Artisan Craftsmanship: Thousands of hours go into every piece. You aren't just buying a rug; you are supporting a centuries-old tradition of textile art.
Investment Piece: Hand-knotted rugs are the only floor coverings that typically retain or increase in value over time.
Materials & Specifications
Construction: Authentic Hand-Knotted (Not tufted or printed).
Fiber: 100% Premium Wool (Natural Lanolin-rich fibers).
Foundation: Durable Cotton.
Feel: Soft, plush underfoot with a substantial weight that prevents sliding.
Styling & Usage This Terracotta Red Area Rug is the perfect anchor for a classic Living Room, a formal Dining Room, or a luxury Master Bedroom. Its transitional aesthetic allows it to bridge the gap between "Old World" charm and modern "Grandmillennial" or "Eclectic" decor. Pairs beautifully with dark wood furniture, leather seating, or neutral linen sofas.
Care & Longevity
Vacuum regularly (without a beater bar) to maintain fiber health.
Rotate every 6 months to ensure even wear and sun exposure.
Professional rug cleaning recommended every 3–5 years.
Note: As a handmade item, slight variations in color and weave are marks of authenticity and make your rug one-of-a-kind.
Rug Care & Maintenance
Vacuum gently once or twice a week using a brush attachment — avoid rotary brush heads. Do not machine wash. For spills, blot immediately with a dry cloth; never rub. With simple care, your handmade wool rug will stay beautiful for decades.

Questions, Answered
Everything you want to know before you buy
Handmade rugs raise real questions — about wool, shedding, sizing and shipping. Here are ours, answered plainly.
Can I order a custom size or colour?
Yes. Almost everything we make can be woven to your dimensions and palette, including round, runner and oversized pieces. Custom orders take about 4-6 weeks. Send us your measurements and a colour reference to start.
Are your rugs safe for pets and children?
Yes. Our rugs are crafted using natural wool and non-toxic dyes without chemical-backed coatings. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and flame-resistant, making it a great choice for family homes. If a loop is accidentally pulled by a pet, simply trim it carefully with scissors rather than pulling it.
Do I need a rug pad underneath it?
We highly recommend using one. A quality rug pad helps prevent slipping, protects your flooring, adds extra comfort underfoot, and extends the lifespan of your rug by reducing wear from daily foot traffic. It's especially beneficial on hardwood, tile, and other smooth surfaces.
How should I clean and care for my rug?
Vacuum weekly on a low setting. Blot spills immediately with a dry cloth — press, don't rub. For anything that has set, use a professional rug cleaner. Avoid soaking the rug, bleach, and steam cleaning.
Do wool rugs shed, and for how long?
Yes, light shedding is normal during the first few weeks. These are loose fibers left from the finishing process and will gradually reduce with regular use. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting (without a rotating beater bar), and shedding typically settles within about a month. It is a natural characteristic of quality wool rugs.
No question matches that. Message us and we'll answer it directly.
