🔹 A HANDWOVEN FLATWEAVE GRID RUG BUILT TO LAST
This blue windowpane flatweave rug is handwoven on the loom by skilled artisans — not machine-printed and not tufted. The crisp ivory grid and warm terracotta accents sit on a soft chambray-blue field, giving you the clean lines of modern decor with the soul of a genuine handmade carpet. Because it's a true flatweave dhurrie, it lies low, feels breathable underfoot, and is fully reversible, unlike bulky machine-made or glued tufted rugs.

🔹 WHY BUYERS CHOOSE THIS RUG
- Durability: Tightly interlocked flatweave structure holds up to daily foot traffic
- Comfort: Low, smooth surface that's easy to walk on and easy to place under doors and furniture
- Material quality: Natural wool that's naturally stain-resistant, resilient, and color-fast
- Value vs machine-made: Real artisan weaving and natural fiber at a fraction of gallery pricing — a piece that ages beautifully instead of matting down

🔹 MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each rug is handwoven on a traditional loom, one weft pass at a time, using dyed wool yarns. The grid and accent squares are built directly into the weave — the pattern is structural, not stamped on top. A single rug can take days of continuous weaving, plus finishing, washing, and hand-knotted fringe work. The result is a reversible, breathable flatweave with the subtle character only handmade textiles have.

🔹 USAGE & STYLING
Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, entryways, home offices, nurseries, and kitchens. The muted blue and terracotta palette pairs effortlessly with light wood floors, rattan, linen, and greenery — perfect for modern farmhouse, coastal, Scandinavian, and cottage interiors. Runners suit hallways and kitchens; rounds soften reading nooks and under-table zones.

🔹 GIFT-WORTHY
A thoughtful housewarming, wedding, or new-home gift for anyone who loves handmade decor and considered, calm interiors.

🔹 CARE & TRUST NOTES
- Shedding: Light natural shedding is normal for new wool and settles with time
- Cleaning: Vacuum without a beater bar; spot-clean spills promptly with mild soap and cool water; professional clean for deep care
- Longevity: Rotate periodically and use a rug pad to protect the weave and reduce slipping
- Handmade variations: Slight irregularities in weave, size, and color are natural marks of an authentic handwoven rug, not defects
Rug Care & Maintenance

Vacuum gently once or twice a week using a brush attachment — avoid rotary brush heads. Do not machine wash. For spills, blot immediately with a dry cloth; never rub. With simple care, your handmade wool rug will stay beautiful for decades.

Questions, Answered

Everything you want to know before you buy

Handmade rugs raise real questions — about wool, shedding, sizing and shipping. Here are ours, answered plainly.

Can I order a custom size or colour?
Are your rugs safe for pets and children?
Do I need a rug pad underneath it?
How should I clean and care for my rug?
Do wool rugs shed, and for how long?
Can I order a custom size or colour?

Yes. Almost everything we make can be woven to your dimensions and palette, including round, runner and oversized pieces. Custom orders take about 4-6 weeks. Send us your measurements and a colour reference to start.

Are your rugs safe for pets and children?

Yes. Our rugs are crafted using natural wool and non-toxic dyes without chemical-backed coatings. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and flame-resistant, making it a great choice for family homes. If a loop is accidentally pulled by a pet, simply trim it carefully with scissors rather than pulling it.

Do I need a rug pad underneath it?

We highly recommend using one. A quality rug pad helps prevent slipping, protects your flooring, adds extra comfort underfoot, and extends the lifespan of your rug by reducing wear from daily foot traffic. It's especially beneficial on hardwood, tile, and other smooth surfaces.

How should I clean and care for my rug?

Vacuum weekly on a low setting. Blot spills immediately with a dry cloth — press, don't rub. For anything that has set, use a professional rug cleaner. Avoid soaking the rug, bleach, and steam cleaning.

Do wool rugs shed, and for how long?

Yes, light shedding is normal during the first few weeks. These are loose fibers left from the finishing process and will gradually reduce with regular use. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting (without a rotating beater bar), and shedding typically settles within about a month. It is a natural characteristic of quality wool rugs.

No question matches that. Message us and we'll answer it directly.
